I am a 41 year old survivor of Glycogen Storage Disease.
Other sites are focused on support and networking and GSD found raising. This web site is all about public awareness and education.
Having survived 41 years of living with Glycogen Storage Disease, I am angered and appalled when I see kids today who have been mismanaged by doctors who know nothing about Glycogen Storage Disease. They look malnourished, are shorter then their classmates, and are frustrated that they are being left behind by their peers. They are no better then I was 30 years ago when doctors first starting clinical testing of cornstarch treatment.
